Biography

Eduardo Garcia was born in Peru and began his musical journey at the age of 11. His early training included traditional Andean instruments such as the quena, zampoñas, charango, and guitar, performing with several Peruvian groups dedicated to Andean and Creole music.

In 1999, he moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he continued his musical studies and earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, studying flute and saxophone. He later pursued advanced studies in composition, obtaining a Master of Music in Musical Composition in 2014 from Texas State University at San Marcos.

Expanding his academic interests beyond music, Garcia returned to Peru to pursue doctoral studies in Anthropology, exploring the cultural dimensions of music and society.

Currently based in San Antonio, Texas, Eduardo Garcia performs regularly at concerts, cultural events, and private functions with various Latin music ensembles, bringing together classical training with the rich traditions of Peruvian and Latin American music.
